Many thanks to the public and private responses to the questions about the
adult male hooded oriole seen in South Bellingham, for such he was. A second
observer had a chance to watch him for another hour after I left for work the
same morning: same tree, same behavior, presumably same bird. Apparently the
styrax lost its charm, for he has not, unfortunately, chosen to return since.
