Just before the 4th of July I will be in the Sunriver/Bend area while my
wife attends a conference. What spots in the area do people like for
summer birding? I'll be shepherding a toddler and preschooler, so
modest walking distances are required. One target bird I am
particularly interested in is pinyon jay,
but any interesting natural
area would be nice to know about. (For our preschooler good rock
hounding/fishing sites carry an added bonus.)
