In response to Bryan Gates' questions about the Hooded Oriole sighted in
south Bellingham WA:
1. About the undertail coverts: we didn't get a good enough look to be able
to swear to their color.
2. Neither of us recall white tips to the tail feathers.
3. The black of the face and throat definitely took a sharp right angle
from the eye down the throat.
4. There was no black on the crown or nape--none, nada.
5. Our hummer feeder is on the other side of the house; the oriole went
nowhere near it. Twice in the two and half hour period that morning, we were
able to see him "working" the styrax. Again, we have not seen him since.

Does this sound like the same bird seen in Saanich? (Sorry about the odd
message cross-overs. My tweeters messages are also digested, producing odd
time delays and my false claim that my last message was some kind of final
word from me.)
