Hi tweeters

I came in late this afternoon from mowing the grass when my husband said we
have a problem. There was a violet green swallow in the fireplace trying
to get out the glass fireplace doors. We didn't want it loose in the house
but we couldn't figure out another way to get it out, so we opened all
the doors and windows and thought we might be able to throw a towel over
it when we opened the fireplace doors. Of course the swallow was faster
than we were and just flew out. Luckily for us it just flew around the
livingroom once and found the window within seconds. Not much mess at
all. Does this mean they are nesting in our chimney? I could live with
this and just make sure we get it cleaned in the fall before we attempt
to burn in it but I don't want swallows appearing in the fireplace on a
regular basis. Perhaps someone else has had this problem and could let
me know what to expect.
