Highlights of a brief trip to Whidbey saturday were a Snow Bunting at the
Keystone ferry terminal, hopping around underfoot on the rip-rap of the
actual ferry terminal, and in the gravel parking lot just to the south,
and a Short-eared Owl flying high over that same area. Swarms of Dunlin
and ducks nervously watching the hunters at Crockett Lake completed the
scene.
