1:31pm Nov 4 - Hello Scott Atkinson 360.691.7232. I guess there were
several of us up in coastal Skagit County yesterday, the 3rd of November.
I was mostly around Skagit Flats, had 84 species. Highlights included a
SNOWBUNTING and a late COMMON YELLOWTHROAT at the Jensen access. Also
increased numbers and variety of raptors throughout the area including a
dozen NORTHERN HARRIERS, two PEREGRINES, two KESTRELS and a female MERLIN
of the columberieas subspecies at Jensen. Also a HARLAN'S REDTAIL HAWK
near the Swinomish casino. Finally a possible RUSTY BLACKBIRD along Dodge
Valley road SE of LaConner and a large blackbird flock near a dairy farm
there just at the turnoff. Bye bye.

4:37pm Nov 4 - This is Barry Levine reporting from Seattle and it's 4:30
and I just was over looking at the immature SNOWY OWL which is located on
Dibble NW in Ballard, between 73rd and 75th. It's behind the house at
7320 in a tall conifer tree just off to the left of center and when I was
there there were about ten crows mobbing it. If you need to more
information you can call me at 206.526.8676 Good luck and good birding.

7:43pm Nov 4th - Hello This is Michael Priba 206.623.7798 Today at Edmonds
the SNOWY OWL seen previously on the seawall was located by my wife and I
with the help of a great many Union Oil employees who directed us toward
it just inside the gate of the old tank farm adjacent to the Union Oil
marsh. It was sitting on a little stump by the little gate-keeper's
house. Later in the afternoon we saw it fly up and sit on one of the
large oil tanks, presumably hunting or finding a better perch for the
night. Also at the Union Oil marsh in the late afternoon we saw a
SHORT-EARED OWL. Thanks, goodbye.

8:07am Nov 5 - Hi this is Dave Beaudette, 206.365.2083. Spent Monday,
November the 4th birding Clallum County. At Ediz Hook the single SNOWY
OWL was still present. Also seen was a SNOW BUNTING, a SHORT-BILLED
DOWITCHER with much juvenile plumage, and a WHIMBREL. At the lagoon at
Washington Harbor were at least 33 MARBLED GODWITS. This area can be
viewed in front of the Batelle gate, at the eastern dead end of Washington
Harbor Road, east of Sequim. Bye-bye.
