Ya know, if I knew Mann Lake was gonna be so good this fall, I would've
dropped out of school and lived in a lean-to down there. If anyone sees
the Long-tailed Ducks or the Snowy, tell them to hang around til Thursday
afternoon. :) Also, where in the park were they spotted?

We went to Turnbull last Sunday, lots of Mallards (of course), but also
lots of wigeons, coots, and Barrow's Goldeneyes were there. We also got
hounded by a flicker while we stalked a beautiful male Hairy/Downy
Woodpecker (forgot our books at home...couldn't remember the bill length).
