A Scrub Jay has been located in Kennewick, near the Benton/Franklin
Fairgrounds. A first Benton county record. It was initially discovered by
Mr and Mrs Dale Frost and has been verified by at least 5 local birders.
From 10th, turn north on Oak Street which crosses a canal. Despite the
dead end sign, keep going and Oak becomes 4th Place. The jay has been
frequenting a brush pile just past 1104 4th Place (the Frost's residence)
and sometimes can be seen in treetops or on utility poles on 4th Street.
