OK, I'll volunteer to be the Snowy Owl record keeper. It'll be an
interesting experiment in on-line data collection and display.
Besides, Snowy Owls have appeared all around my Lake City neighborhood
and in Magnuson Park where I walk my dog every morning, but have
somehow managed to escape being seen by me. This way, I can
vicariously "see" them.

I did not save all the email messages of sightings, so send all old and
new sightings directly to me (kelly at u.washington.edu). Include the
date and the location as precisely as you can describe it, preferably
to within a section. I will map the locations, with dates, for
Washington, and possibly for BC and Oregon if I can scare up a digital
map of those areas without too much trouble. I'll display results on a
web site linked to the Tweeters page.
