To get to the John's River Wildlife Area, go to Aberdeen and follow the signs
to get on Hwy 105 heading towards Westport. About 15 miles after leaving
Aberdeen, you will cross John's River. You can take the next left to go to
the boat launch or you can double back on the highway and take another access
road on the south side of the highway. When I was there last, the access roads
were pretty well marked. I remember trails leaving a parking lot east of the
John's River bridge but I suspect there are also trails leaving the boat launch
area to the west of the bridge.
