Over 40 species, with few surprises except for a THAYER'S GULL, which
Brian Bell saw one on his way out, in with the large flock of Mew,
Ring-billed, and California gulls.

We also saw a Fox Sparrow that appeared NOT to be of the fuliginosa
subspecies. It was not the charcoal brown color - instead much lighter,
and possibly with a greyish head. From the NGS guide, it looked to me
most like a schistacea. Are these ever seen in Western Washington?
