Christmas Bird Counts are coming up and many of you will be participating in
one or more of these festive annual censuses (censi?). And some of you may
run across something that requires documentation.

I had the opportunity to help review the documentation from last year and
most of it was pretty good. But I was disappointed at how few of the written
descriptions included sketches. Sketching the bird is the first thing I do.
Sketching's fun, it's easy and it goes a long way toward creating an image
that reviewers look for when evaluating a record.

Stop in at http://www.pacifier.com/~mpatters/details/details.html
and draw some birds with the aid of animated instructions and you to can
become a great artist.
