I preface this concern with the recognition that NIMBY-like
squawking often gets on my nerves for good reason. Nevertheless,
here goes:

The Seahawks would be an invasive, despoiling species at the
Montlake Fill...

The Montlake Fill is probably the most heavily birded and perhaps
the most cherished birding site in Washington. That exulted status
is due in great part to its proximity to the urban Seattle area, it
being the proverbial wetland and grassland oasis in the midst of
concrete.

Access to the Fill by birders is often a challenge (not impossible,
but challenging) during the week when the UW is in session and
well-nigh impossible on those Saturdays when the Huskies howl. The
prospect that the Seahawks could further impede access on too many
Fall Sundays is dismaying. Give peace (and quiet) a chance.
