3:49PM Nov 18 - Hi, this is Ed Swan at (206) 725-5013. On Nov 16 on the
Colville Plateau there was a flock of over 300 Snow Buntings.

2:55PM Nov 19 - Hello, my name is Ralph Rish(sp?). My number is (206)
746-6181. A couple of interesting birds: I have coming to my yard, frequently
since, oh gosh!, this summer, a chickadee, probably a Black-capped but might
be a Mountain Chickadee I suppose, with an interesting morphological
variation. The entire top of its head from the eye up is white all the way
down to the middle of its back and the back of its wings. There is another
that accompanies it that has, from the rear half of its head downward to its
back is white. Which is kind of bizarre. I have a Northern Flicker that has
an interesting variation as well, that comes regularly, its a male, it has a
red moustache as the Red-shafted race normally would but it also has a red
marking on the back of the head. Both of these have been sighted at a couple
of other places in the area.
Its in the Lake Hills of Bellevue near the Larsen Lake Greenbelt or Blueberry
Farm Greenbelt. The same thing with the chickadees. In fact, one fellow saw
one down as far as Magnolia. There is also a fellow down there saw a Scrub
Jay about a week ago. That was about, oh I guess, the 10th or so of Nov.
Also, there's an area near Factoria where someone came in and told me that
they saw a Rufous Hummingbird in their backyard. This was today the 19th.
Which I find incredibly bizarre that a Rufous Hummingbird would be around
here at this time of year but they definitely described it as being brown
russet color all over its body and coming to their humming bird feeder. So, I
don't think there is any other possibility. They are just north of Factoria
off Richards Road. Also in my area, I found a number of Lincoln's Sparrows
that have been wintering in the greenbelt behind my place. Thanks a lot.

3:40PM Nov 19 - Hi, this is Martha Norwalk. I am calling from between Sultan
and Monroe. I'm actually closer to Sultan. I'm up on the East Hill. My phone
numbers are (360) 793-1402 or (206) 827-1928. I'm calling to report that as
of Saturday, this last Saturday, Nov 17, I have 2 Mountain Bob Whites -
excuse me - Northern Bob Whites. It took me awhile to identify them. I
understand they are quite rare and was asked to report to this line. They are
two males. They wandered out of my conifer grove Saturday morning. They have
been here at the feeding staion everyday since. So far just the two males.
Also the first Varied Thrush of the season showed up at my feeding station
today. So thats it. Thanks. Goodby.

4:35PM Nov 20 - Hi, this is Sam Terry. My number is (206) 329-9038. In
response to an earlier message, I too have seen a Black-capped Chickadee with
a white back, and for the past several years have seen the flickers with
their red moustache mark and red on the back of the head. Also in my back
yard for the past 3 days has been a female Anna's Hummingbird. But today I
did not see her but did see a male frequently. Also today, I've seen a
Dark-eyed Junco that I believe is a Slate-colored but might be a cross
between a Slate-colored and an Oregon Junco. I live in Madrona so I'm not
near the other chickadees. That's it. Goodby.
