Hi Tweeters:

As posted on Oct. 28, I received responses from Leah Ramsay, Danna Visalli
and Ellen Stevenson to my WHWO request for information on sightings,
especially nests. Since that time, I have also heard from Michael Hobbs and
Howard Ferguson as well as Rose Leach. Rose, who got to me through David
Anderson of WDW, reported a number of records from the Yakima Reservation.
I also heard from Mao4215 at aol.com. I do not have a name to assign to the
latter. I also do not have mailing addresses for Visalli, Stevenson,
Ferguson and Mao. If you want copies of my report when completed, please
send me a mailing address.

Thank you much for the responses. I made 7 contacts out of Tweeters which
go with reports from national forests, other government sources, the
Breeding Bird Atlas, and BBS. They show the species about where expected
except did not receive any reports from the Blue Mtns. in the southeast
corner of the state. Except for one record, which is probably a
non-breeder, the bird does not seem to get south of Trout Lake in the
Central Cascades. It appears again in the Oregon Cascades southeast of Mt.
Hood.

Incidentally, I got 17 responses from Oregon Birders on Line (OBOL).
Tweeters and OBOL are a new resource for people doing reports like this one.
