The fall plumaged BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER continues to been seen at Foste=
r Island near the University of=20
Washington. Park in the last lot on the south side of highway 520 near t=
he golf course. The bird was last=20
seen about 50 yards north of the footbridge on the 27th. It consorts wit=
h kinglets and chickadees. Also=20
found in the area was an ANNA'=92S HUMMINGBIRD on the 25th.

SNOWY OWLS continue to be found regularly. This week 5 have been within =
a mile of the junction of=20
Bayview-Edison Rd. and Samish Island Rd. 7 were seen at Damon Point near=
Ocean Shores on the 25th, and 7 were=20
seen at Dungeness on the 23rd.

On the 25th a NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH was found behind the restrooms at the =
parking lot of the Skagit Wildlife=20
Management Area Headquarters near Mt. Vernon. Also in the area were 10 B=
OHEMIAN WAXWINGS along the dike trail=20
and 2 WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS and an AMERICAN TREE SPARROW near the boat =
launch. Not far away, a RUSTY=20
BLACKBIRD was found in a flock of blackbirds near the intersection of Man=
n and Wylie Roads.

A CATTLE EGRET, a GREAT EGRET, and a ROSS'=92 GOOSE were found north of t=
he mouth of the Lewis River west of=20
Woodland in southwest Washington on the 24th.

5 SNOW BUNTINGS were seen near the base of Graveyard Spit near Dungeness =
on the 23rd. Another was at Golden=20
Gardens and West Point in Seattle on the 23rd and 24th.

A single SCRUB JAY was reported from Admiral Way in West Seattle on the 1=
9th.
Sightings of Meleagris gallopavo, subspecies frigidus have been widely r=
eported. The less prevalent=20
subspecies, inedibilis, has also been spotted.
