I don't know about "presently" but in the past the rigging of the ships at
NOAA's Pacific Marine Center (PMC) on Lake Union has supported very large
numbers of DC Cormorants. I'll check on Monday to see what the current
status is. (I was asked a year ago about remedial measures to avoid having
to take the marine term, "poop deck," literally. They tried plastic owls,
scary eyes, mylar, etc. The only thing that works the least bit in
orchards is a propane cannon but the neighbors along Faiview Ave. would
have objected.)
