Hello Tweets,

Alan Grenon responded to my initial post about possible Raven
migration with a few observations of his own regarding Ravens at
traditional Hawk watch sites.
What interested so much initially was that if one looks at the
range maps for Ravens in the field guides it appears that it is
resident throughout it's range. I guesss the map shouldn't be
interpreted too literally. I think every bird species exhibits
some form of migration at one point or another, whether its a
post-breeding dispersal, irruptions due to changes in food supply
and-or weather or a more traditional "migration."
That's one of the things I love about birding - the mysterys around
every corner. Despite what your non-birding friends say, you just
can't "know everything about birds."
