You can certainly see & get close to a lot of water & shore birds via kayak
on the Nisqually Delta. Ducks are just starting to arrive. It's not easy
to land anywhere except on the sandy spit to the east of the refuge. I put
in at the boat launch on the west side of the refuge off Meridian Rd. Be
*very* aware of the tides. The delta can drain in a matter of minutes at
low tide leaving you stranded in the middle of the mud flat for half a day.
Also, I think the waterfowl hunting season starts soon, like Saturday?
