Brown Pelicans are quite rare in Puget Sound, still with only a handful of
sightings, even though the numbers have skyrocketed on the outer coast in
the past 2-3 decades. There was one at Point Defiance in Tacoma last fall
for quite a while, the only one I've seen in the Sound. Russell Rogers
could do an even better job than Gene at setting the record clear, but he's
probably working, the curse of the birding man.
