I couldn't help noticing the Monk article listed in the Wilson
Bulletin: <Exponential population growth of Monk Parakeets in the
United States. Sunshine Van Bael and Stephen Pruett-Jones. pp
584-588. > in the context of your <kids and dog> walk Sunday near
Three Tree Point.

What has happened to the Monk pair nesting/breeding at the point?
They built a stick nest on the north side of the point and hatched
two young last year, one of which subsequently hit a window and
lost.

PS: Any truth to the rumor that Monks now outnumber Republicans on
the Connecticut shore?
