This is Kas Dumroese with the northern Idaho / eastern Washington /
northeastern Oregon bird hotline.

At Mann Lake near Lewiston, Idaho, on October 4, Carole Vande Voorde
reports a single SNOW GOOSE and today, October 11, Dan Svingen
saw 2 DUNLIN. To get to Mann Lake, take US 12 west into Lewiston,
cross the Clearwater Bridge and immediately turn left toward East
Lewiston. Follow Main Street to the blinking yellow light and turn right
onto Lindsay Creek Road. Stay right at the Y and follow Lindsay Creek
until it dead ends at Grelle. Turn left onto Grelle, and just after
Grelle makes a 20 mph right turn, turn left toward the lake. Head
straight about 1.3 miles to the dead end and the parking area. Idaho

At the Walla Walla River Delta on October 5, Carole Vande Voorde saw
195 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER, 2 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, and 2
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON. Today, according to Mike and
MerryLynn Denny there were 3 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, 2 AMERICAN
GOLDEN PLOVER, 1 SANDERLING, 19 PECTORAL SANDPIPER, and
most of the aforementioned dowitchers. The delta is 30 miles west of
Walla Walla, just north of the junction of US 12 and US 730. WA

As of today, October 11, the sub-adult, male, ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD
is still in the yard at Mike and MerryLynn Denny's in College Place, WA.
The Denny's live at 323 Scenic View Drive if you'd like to take a peak.

On Spraque Lake, Washington on October 9 was a HORNED GREBE and
15 EARED GREBE, along with a couple COMMON LOON, according to
Marcus Roening. The birds were observed from access points on the
west side of the lake off I-90. The lake is just west of Spraque. WA
DeLorme p. 71, B8. Marcus also saw a couple of NORTHERN SHRIKE
there, and a single ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK near Edwall, WA, in eastern
Lincoln County.
