There are 2 Blue Jays in our area.
In North Richland, one is being seen along Hood Avenue between Snyder and
Spengler, 2 blocks west of George Washington Way. It frequents the trees on
the east side of the block and a feeder across the open field on the west.
It calls off and on.
The second jay is being seen at Madam Dorian Park at the Walla Walla River
Delta. A birder-camper has placed 3 hanging platform feeders near his
trailer. The jay has been eating and caching the sunflower seeds. The
camper expects to remain for about another week unless it gets too cold.
This bird is also vocal.
