Early morning yesterday, the area just north of the fishing dock was
crowded, really crowded-maybe hundreds, with surf scoters plus many more
red-necked grebes than I normally see. The red-necked grebes were scarce
last winter; now there are up to a dozen. The surf scoters are usually in
groups of less than 20! Bunches of birds-love the winter time here.
