A long-eared owl showed up dead about two miles from my house a couple
of winters ago, right in the heart of Ladd's Addition, a turn-of-the-century
neighborhood near the river. Portland neighborhoods tend to have a lot
of mature decidous trees in them...

The owl completed its urban adventure by getting parted out for our
classroom kits used for owl programs.
