Went out Friday and yesterday and rechecked Market Lake, Camas NWR,
Harriman State Park, and Wolverine Canyon. Had hoped to get to Craters of
the Moon today, but the weather was threatening. I'm leaving town this
coming Thursday, Oct. 25, and will return late Sunday, November 3, (going
to southern California to see my son and his family, go diving, go to a
family wedding reception, and search for the Channel Islands Scrub Jay +
pelagics) so it will be tough to get to Craters and Mud Lake before the
November 9 deadline. Will do the best I can.

Lucretia Chew has gone with me on many of thebird guide forays and has
acted as ex-English teacher, map reader, navigator, and secretary. Hope
you have a spot in the book to acknowledge such folks who have helped with
the book without being "authors."
