Thanks to everyone who sent advice on and off net about my son-in-law's
crashed disk. I have passed it on to him. I didn't say anything to him about
backups (I'm a sensitive new age guy - in some ways), but he did ask me about
my backup system so I am sure he has the message.
My nephew had me create a separate part of the disk which we called drive
e: to which I copy the whole database after each session. Then once a week I
use the Norton Fastback to copy to floppy disks (as advised by BirdBase).
Having it on drive e salvaged the one time the program got messed up. Any
other suggestions?
