Judy,

You have unwittingly revealed yourself as either a birder new to Seattle
or a Seattlite new to birding. :) Either way, welcome to the fold.

Bewick's Wrens are very common in Seattle, or at least they are one of the
most vocal birds in town. Unless you have insects in your feeder, don't
expect them there.

If you try birding by ear, this wren will be one of the top ten most
commonly heard in Seattle neighborhoods in spring. Bewick's have a Song
Sparrow like call that, at first, is one of the major birding-by-ear
challenges. Both Bewick's Wrens and Song Sparrows have variable,
complex songs, but something clicks after a few months of listening and
they seem easy to separate. Bewick's Wrens also have a buzzy call.
