6:02 p.m. October 27th - Hi. This is Bill Tweit. Today October 27th I
had 30 MARBLED GODWITS and four juvenile SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS at
Washington Harbor which is along the Sequim Bay shoreline north of the
marina and south of the Jamestown shoreline.

6:14 p.m. October 27th - Hi. This is Dave Beaudette at 206-365-2083.
Washington State has good bird coverage. Today October 27th at
mid-afternoon a flock of 44 MARBLED GODWITS was seen east of Sequim in
Clallam County along the west side of Sequim Bay. To reach the site from
the West Sequim Bay Road head north then east on Washington Harbor Road to
its dead end at the entrance to the Battelle Marine Research Laboratory.
The birds were seen from here in the wetland to the north. Observe the No
Trespassing signs. Bye bye.

6:41 p.m. October 27th - Hello. This is Patrick Sullivan along with Ruth
Sullivan reporting from Tacoma, Washington, area code 206-564-7419. At
the Hoquiam sewage treatment plant in Grays Harbor County there were two
REDHEADS, eight CANVASBACK, one EARED GREBE, one SNOW GOOSE, 40 GREATER
WHITE-FRONTED GEESE, and six LONG-BILLED CURLEWS. At the Ocean Shores
golf course there were eight GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE, three SNOW
GEESE, one "ALEUTIAN" CANADA GOOSE in a flock of 20 "CACKLING" CANADA
GEESE, three PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, five LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, two
SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS, and one MERLIN. At Bill's Spit east of Ocean
Shores there were 27 MARBLED GODWITS, 17 LONG-BILLED CURLEWS, and high
numbers of DUNLIN. At Damon Point there were also high numbers of DUNLIN
along with one ROCK SANDPIPER, two RED KNOTS, six PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER,
eight PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, one LAPLAND LONGSPUR, one [AMERICAN] PIPIT, and
one WESTERN MEADOWLARK. At the Ocean Shores game range there were
extremely high numbers of DUNLIN including one DUNLIN still in breeding
plumage, also including three PEREGRINE FALCONS, one MERLIN, three RUDDY
TURNSTONES, two SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS, one ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK, and one
NORTHERN SHRIKE. At the Ocean Shores jetty there were 38 SURFBIRDS and
three ROCK SANDPIPERS. Thank you. Good luck and good birding!

7:26 p.m. October 27th - Vic Nelson. Today at Point No Point at the
northeast tip of the Kitsap Peninsula I had a NORTHERN SHRIKE and also a
BROWN PELICAN was still around. Yesterday on October 26th there was
either a first- or second-winter FRANKLIN'S GULL and an adult LITTLE GULL
