I'm always amazed at the variations you see from one neighborhood to another,
including seasonal variations. In our Bellevue (Swellvue?) neighborhood, we
have lots of Steller's Jays, especially in the summer.

Others have reported frequent accipiter sightings while I rarely see any :-(

During the summer, I never saw juncos in our yard, even though I saw them
daily just 2 miles away where I work. Now, they are common in our yard.

Actually, I guess it's deceptive to expect more uniformity. I read once that
rainfall in the Seattle area varies significantly from one neighborhood to the
next, depending on elevation, proximity to water, etc. Certainly, birds
should vary also.
