Our raptor projects in Nevada (i.e. the Goshutes) and Utah (the
Wellesvilles) had to shut down last Thursday due to snow, the
earliest shut-down dates in years.

So, make sure your friend gets some updated snow conditions for
any place up in the Rockies...

Of course, it may warm up again, we had our earliest snowfall
ever at the Goshutes this year (Sept 15), weather was cold and
blustery until about the 21st, when it warmed up again. By then
I was in Wyoming and there was talk of record high temperatures,
it was certainly in the shorts-tshirt realm again.
