On Saturday, John Flavin saw a peregrine on Jetty Island and on Sunday we
both saw one stooping sandpipers as it moved north along the west side of
Jetty. It was small so we thought probably a male. It is always
unbelievable to see how fast that bird can fly! I wonder if this is the
same bird that has been seen several times at Spencer Island. We only saw
one Caspian Tern on Jetty this weekend, so most of the others have moved
on or are hanging out elsewhere.
