On August 28 on the Yakima Delta, there were a MARBLED GODWIT and 3
RED-NECKED PHALAROPES among the more common shorebirds. (Bob Woodley)

Also on August 28, Mary Lilga found an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER along
Riverside Drive in West Richland.

Phil Bartley and Ruth Fischer found the following birds on or near Bateman
Island on August 31: a COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, 6 EARED GREBES, NASHVILLE,
TOWNSEND'S and MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLERS, WARBLING VIREO and an immature
WESTERN TANAGER.

Also on August 31, Dennis Rockwell found 4 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS, 3 GREATER
and 4 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 2 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS, 9 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, and
a RED-NECKED PHALAROPE at the (McNary NWR) pond along Highway 12 at milepost
300.

The following day along the Nature Trail in Two Rivers Park (Finley), he
found a RED-EYED VIREO, ORANGE-CROWNED AND TOWNSEND'S WARBLERS, WESTERN
TANAGER, SAVANNAH SPARROW, and an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER.

At the same location on September 2, Dennis observed a VIRGINIA RAIL, VAUX'S
SWIFT, SOLITARY VIREO, and 3 YELLOW and 1 MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLERS.

WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS returned to Tony Greager's Kennewick yard on
September 2 and Nancy LaFramboise reported 1 at the Yakima Delta on
September 3. She also found 1 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE there.

RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES were reported by Phyllis Gelkey (sp?) in her
Richland yard on August 28 and by Eric Gregerman (sp?) at the Timbers
Apartment complex on September 3.

On the Yakima Delta this morning there were 2 GREAT EGRET and 2 GREATER
WHITE-FRONTED GEESE among several other bird species.
