Subject: Lake Sammamish State Park

Jim Ganley birded the state park from 0745 to 1015 and saw a total of 28
species, including the following:

American Coot 17 They are back
Wood Duck 4 On Issaquah Creek east of closed bridge.
California Gull 20 On beach area
Ring-billed Gull 19
Green Heron 1 Flying down creek
Band-tailed Pigeon This was found dead by trail alongside the creek.
Probably
killed earlier in morning. Most of feathers gone, identified from
one gray wing,
yellow bill with black tip and yellow feet.
Spotted Sandpiper 1 on sandy shore of creek
Western Sandpiper 2 on shore at end of spit out from mouth of creek.
