Does anyone know where the crow rookeries are for the south Snohomish
county area? I live in the Meadowdale area and every evening we see the
crow flying to roost in a NE direction. The only rookery I've ever
observed was a rookery on an island in the Susquahanna River at Milton
PA. The city tried everything to chase the crows away: cannon blasts,
loud noises, flashing lights, nets, even an open season to hunt crows
(the crows won. After a week all the "hunters" had killed only 1 (one)
crow, and that showed signs of being sick). Crows are loud, messy and
obnoxious but I have to admire their intelligence, fortitude and
courage. Maybe they should be our national bird instead of the eagle.
