There was a roosting flock of 300+ Brown Pelicans on Sunday at low tide,
near where the trail goes out to the bay side. A Harbor Seal was roosting
among them (stranded when the tide receded?). There were many
Black-bellied Plovers and Western Sandpipers out on the very extensive
flats. The alders and shore pines sometimes have migrants at this time of
year.
