I had a phone conversation with a friend who reports seeing a pink
coloured gull with leg bands. I am unaware if the leg band colouring
code is consistent with that of shorebirds and am equally uncertain of
who is currently banding-colouring gulls. I believe the bands were on
the left leg and they were yellow over gray (silver). The species of
gull concerned is yet uncertain but it is a young bird and likely a
Glaucous-winged Gull, it was thought to be largish.

If anyone could point me in the direction of further information on this
gull, it would be appreciated.
