We have downy wookpeckers, flickers, nuthatches and chickadees using the
upside-down feeders. The feeders hang on a trellis on the outer edge of our
second-story deck (~10 feet from the house).

When we put the feeders out, it took a while for the flickers and woodpeckers
to figure them out. Maybe they need to observe someone else using the
contraptions before they get the idea.
