Last year I tried a variation of this with my old xmas tree. After
cutting off all the branches, I stuck it top end down into a large
planter, drilled several 1.5" holes in the thick end and filled
them with a similar peanut buter mixture. Unfortunately, it was
not easily viewable from my windows, so I don't know who ate it.
