Years ago, a number of us watched a similar eagle cooperation event involving
two golden eagles working together to bring down a sandhill crane. One eagle
flew low and flushed the crane up from the marsh, while the other eagle
circled high above. When the crane was just above the tops of streamside
willows, the circling eagle dove and knocked the crane back to the ground.
It was pretty incredible to watch!
