Hello Wallis,
This is the time of the year when the Pseudo Owlis Band-tailed
Pigeon starts hooting from atop a conifer perch usually right smack in
the middle of the day. The calls are VERY owl-like and everybody gets
fooled the first time. A friend of mine tromped for 3 hours through the
woods trying to find the "owl" only to be rewarded with the BT Pigeon at
the end of it.
