Twice in the past week or so I've heard the call of this owl whilst walking.
Five whoos in the middle of the day, repeated at intervals. Hmm.

On another note, I'm headed to southeastern Arizona and northern New Mexico
at the end of next week. Suggestions for birding the route from
Tucson/Patagonia/Tucson-Jemez Pueblo would be most welcome.
