I am a beginning birder and have been granted the good fortune to =
review three CD-Rom Bird Guides before making my final choice. So far =
I have looked at the Audubon and Peterson's. My initial impression is =
that the Peterson is more user friendly and that the Audubon has richer =
(perhaps more accurate?) visual images - they appear to be all field =
photos. The program I haven't had time to check out yet is a locally =
developed one - AviSys Superior Birding Software. I will need to make =
my decision soon and at this point I feel that I only have a cursory =
impression of them. I would appreciate any feedback that users of these =
guides might provide. Thank you.
