Snoqualmie may have snow-squashed blackberry thickets, but at least the
Spotted towhees aren't going to be blown away or swept away by a creek ten
times normal size! You got 'em, and we don't have 'em here in the Des
Moines Marina area, but until recently, I at least heard several towhees
on every single bird walk-about. Send some back our way and
thanks for info from Bent's. You beat me by about a half hour; I was
still mulling in front of the computer screen. It would be interesting to
better understand resident bird relocations after severe weather. We've
got a crowd of Song sparrows here now, were scarce last year!
