I have removed or modified perches from my feeders. It certainly makes
the house sparrows work harder for it, but I still get them on the
feeder

Recently a couple of house finches decided to stand their ground and
refused to budge for the house sparrows.
Good for them.

I am resigned to house sparrows, but I do try to make their life
miserable.
