Lisa related the seagull - bay gull schtick.

In the 70's, when I lived in the San Francisco area, I had the misfortune to
accompany a visiting tourist on a bus tour of the area.

On the way back from Muir Woods, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, which
separates the Pacific Ocean (on the right) from San Francisco Bay (on the left),
the tour guide exclaimed,

"The white birds you see on your right are "Seagulls." Those on your left are
"Bagels."

So the little girl was repeating a schtick that has a long and glorious history.

Of course, this is the same tour guide that, when we passed a house that had a
full clothes line, stated,

"Oh, I see we have a washout on the line"

which was identical to the schtick used by a guide I suffered on a tour bus in
Victoria, B.C. in May 1956.

Apparently, tour guides all use the same bible, which is updated about as
frequently as the King James.
