I expect that you can get this information from USF&W. I spoke to some of
their field biologists in the Sacramento Valley in January; they were busy
scoping a field of ~15,000 snow geese, looking for banded birds. The birds
were banded on their breeding grounds; different colors for geographically
distinct populations (specific islands were mentioned, the names escape
me). Maybe they have a web site somewhere?
