How's that for a word. Paltry Puyallup has been seeing more and more eagles
as time goes by. For the last few years we have been noticing a youngster
hanging out around Clark's creek near the hatchery. At least think it's the
same one. Likes the same hangouts and each time we see it gets a little
older looking. Now is at that stage where the head is turning white, beak all
yellow. Used to be tolerated by an adult who was around once or twice a year.
Just today saw my youngster; then two adults; at different times. Both
sightings over Clark's creek park again, and the little salmon run isn't even
going on. Nice to see them around our increasingly urban, no longer little,
town.
