North Portland Rd. between Columbia Blvd. and North Marine Drive is
supposed to be closed between April 21 and mid-August for some sort of
construction project. This is the road which runs along the east side of
the Smith-Bybee lake complex and is the fastest connection between this
area and the St John's Bridge to Sauvie Island. Those planning trips
into and around town and or Birdathon routes may want to take this into
consideration when planning (those who have contact with Mike Houck may
especially want to pass this onto him). Ray K
