Hi Tweeters -

May I suggest that birding is not a triange, but a square. The fourth
corner belongs to the environmentalists.

I am not a Scientist, but I really try to "get into" the Scientific part
of birding. I try to absorb as much technical data as I can. However,
I am no longer at the peak of my learning curve, so this is not as easy
as it once was.

I love the beauty, the humor, and the majesty of the birds, and the
places they live, so I am a "Bird Watcher."

I am an inveterate, unabashed Lister, and have travelled around the U.S.
(and across my state) to add new birds to my life list. I am unashamed of
this activity. My traveling, and that of my fellow listers, has provided
a great boon to the economy (and a new awareness of their natural
treasures) to many places in the United States (and around the world).
We provide jobs, and the impetus for newly- discovered tourism resources
(the natural environment) to be preserved.

I am also a rabid environmentalist, a real "tree hugger." I figure if
I don't hug the trees, the birds will have no place to sit. :-)

So, I am a "square," and I mostly sit right about here

But, sometimes I'm sitting in one corner or another.
